Twice The Love

Today I attended a double baby shower for to sweet mama's that are expecting baby girls next month.  This set Warm Welcome by Lil' Inker Designs makes the perfect baby card.
I started with a top folding card base and a panel cut down on one side with a stitched die. I stamped the floral images using Altenew ink and the cut them out with the Warm Welcome coordinating dies. I added a strip of patterned paper down the side.

Even thought it may be a tad liberal I used this weeks sketch from
CAS(E) This Sketch

Here's a picture of both cards

Not my usual style but I wanted to try my hand at vintage for the challenge over at

To make my card I created a background by sponging Vintage Photo distress oxide ink on a piece of bristol paper, then randomly stamped the floral image from the set Parisian Postcard by Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps in the same ink color.
I stamped the Eiffel Tower in versa mark ink and embossed it with Brutus Monroe Gilded embossing powder.  The next step was to spritz it with water to get the ink to react. To finish the card I stamped the two butterflies in Broken China distress oxide and the greeting from the Mason Jar Bouquet also by Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps.

For my card I colored a page from the Daisy Delight mini coloring book and attached it to a top folding card base.

Encouragement Squad Challenge CAS01

Today is the Calling All Sistahs Encouragement Squad's first official challenge to encourage others by sharing some handmade kindness.
Our challenge is to use the inspiration photo below to create a card to send someone a word of encouragement as they go through a struggle. It doesn't have to be cancer it can be for someone who has lost someone, lost a job, or just needs a word of encouragement. The real challenge is will you mail it? I love to go to the mailbox and find happy mail instead of or with the bills, always makes my heart happy.

There is a prize involved as well, a $25 voucher to CAS-ual Fridays Stamps and if you use CAS-ual Fridays products and are the winner it will increase to $50

To make my card I started with a white top folding card base and a piece of bristol paper. I stamped the Full on Floral image in versamark ink and embossed it in white, next I used Daniel Smith watercolors to color the background. The greeting is from the set Pretty Posies also by CAS-ual Fridays Stamps.

Happy Wednesday!
It's the 17th which means it time for our Calling All Sistahs monthly reminder to get the girls checked and in case you missed my crafty news earlier, I have been asked to join the Encouragement Squad at CAS-ual Fridays Stamps. There is a code on my sidebar where you can get 15% off your purchase of stamps or dies be sure to take advantage of that.
Now back to the reminder, breast cancer can be beaten if caught early so please get your mammograms. I lost my mom to breast cancer when I was 21 and have been advocate to find a cure since then. You can also help by purchasing any of the Calling All Sistahs line where 50% of the proceeds go to help research for a cure.

To make my card I started with a top folding card base and an embossed panel. I stamped the Full on Floral in versamark and embossed it in white on a piece of watercolor paper, colored it with Daniel Smith watercolors to use for the Ruffled Ribbon Fri-die. I added the greeting from the Hope Ribbon set along with the Hope Fri-die. To finish the card I added some sequins from the Sistahood Sparkle collection.

Ombre Birthday

Back to my routine of late night card shares, I can always use birthday cards as I am trying my best to send out birthday cards to all who want them, so if you would like a handmade birthday card from me just let me know your birthday and address and I will do my best to get one to you.

To make this card I started with a white top folding card base and a couple sets by CAS-ual Fridays Stamps. I stamped the HBTU from the set Whole Shebang, with versamark ink and then embossed it in gold. Next I stamped the funky border from the Wish Big set in different reds and pinks to get an ombre' effect. To help me line up the borders I used the Original MISTI and the ruler from the Creative Corners.
To finish the card I trimmed the edge and added some gold glitter wash tape to match the greeting.

CAS-ual Fridays is turning 6 and they are celebrating with a birthday challenge
Use 6 of the same thing on your card, I used 6 funky borders
